In 2009, the Houston Chronicle featured New Look as a thriving business within the slowed-down economy. The popularity of laser tattoo removal continues to grow despite people making budget cuts elsewhere in their lives: “So while Houstonians are tightening their belts in the economic downturn, they are still paying for tattoo removal — in greater numbers, in fact, than before the recession.” The article expresses the many motivations that compel people to get laser tattoo removal, including the negative effects that visible tattoos can have as people apply for jobs or the military.

New Look Laser Tattoo Removal was featured Sunday, February 10, 2008 in a special report on Houston’s ABC 13 Eyewitness News. The story focused on the popularity of homemade tattoos amongst adolescents aged 14 to 22. Homemade tattoos can be applied by a variety of techniques. The most common method uses a sewing needle with ballpoint pen ink or india ink. The tattoos are popular amongst teenagers because they can be performed without a parental waiver (needed at professional tattoo shops). Fortunately, because homemade tattoos insert less ink into the skin, they are very easy to remove at New Look.

New Look Laser Tattoo Removal was featured in the Dallas Morning News on Thursday, August 6, 2009. The story was based on the Dallas Police Department forming more strict rules with regards to allowing tattoos to be seen while wearing the uniform. The article discussed laser tattoo removal as an option for policemen and women with visible tattoos so that they no longer have to wear additional clothing or makeup while enduring summer heat.
